With increasingly fiery rhetoric, a never-before-seen amount of national guard presence in Washington, DC, and uncertainty about the future, the top concern for most voters should come as no surprise.

A new poll reveals that an overwhelming majority of registered voters – from both parties – are concerned about violence ahead of Joe Biden’s inauguration.

In fact, seventy-three percent of registered voters said so in a new poll from the Hill-HarrisX!

Only 27 percent of respondents said they were “not very concerned” or “not concerned at all.”

Democrats did seem more concerned than Republicans, with eighty-seven percent saying “they are worried about more violence leading up to Inauguration Day,” and 54 percent who noted that they are “very concerned.”

The Hill reports that only “seventy-five percent of independents also said they are concerned along with 59 percent of Republicans.”

This increased sense of dread ahead of the Inaugration is blamed on the incidents are the Capitol on January 6th.

Despite the worry, Biden is expected to be sworn into office in a digital inaugural service on January 20th.
