BREAKING: Facebook Makes A Decision On President Trump’s Social Media Ban

Back in January, while Donald Trump was still the president, tech giants and liberal elites teamed up to ban him on social media.

They claimed the sitting president was responsible for “inciting violence” before and after the January 6th riot at the Capitol and cut off all direct lines of communication the president had with his millions of supporters. 

Now, months later, a Facebook panel was faced with the decision of whether or not to continue their ban of former President Trump.

Unsurprisingly, they ruled in favor of keeping him silenced.

At least for now.

Facebook’s oversight board said the ongoing risk of violence “justified” a permanent suspension but did not believe a permanent suspension was appropriate at this time.  Instead, they would like Facebook to create a defined set of rules that would explain their decision to ban all accounts, including President Trump’s.

They gave Facebook six months to make its final decision on the permanent status of Trump’s account.

While the potential for reinstatement of his existing social media accounts does exist, President Trump isn’t wasting any time moving on from these clearly biased platforms. 

On Monday of this week, the former president unveiled a new site, “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” that works much like his previous Twitter and Facebook feeds.
