Earlier this year rapper and reported Trump supporter, Kanye West, announced on Twitter that he would be running for President.
In a Fourth of July tweet, he wrote “we must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States,” he declared before adding the hashtag “2020Vision.”
Now, the celebrity candidate has released his first campaign ad that reflects that same message. And actually, it’s kind of an awesome ad. WATCH NOW:
Kanye’s opportunity to be president may be stunted by the fact that he failed to meet the deadlines required to be featured on the ballot in most states. His ad acknowleges that, though, asking voters to “write in Kanye.”
A few months ago, President Trump weighed in on Kanye’s potential, calling his run “very interesting.
He also said West has “a real voice.” Trump noted, though, that this 2020 run “would have to view this as a trial run for what’s going to happen in four years.”
