BREAKING: Former President Bush Is Going After Trump’s GOP, But He’s Forgetting This Simple Fact

Published

on

Former President George W. Bush has made headlines recently for his bold criticisms of President Trump and the current state of the Republican party.

This weekend, in a podcast interview with Stephen Hayes, Bush made wild claims that “there’s not going to be a party” much longer, and the reason for its destruction would be the Trump era rejection of (illegal) immigration.

...

Hinting at the racism of the party who supported him through nearly four years of approval ratings in the low teens, the former President said that “the idea of kind of saying you can only be Republican ‘if,’ then the ultimate extension of that is it ends up being a one-person party.”

“If the Republican Party stands for exclusivity – it used to be country clubs, now evidently it’s White Anglo-Saxon Protestantism – then it’s not going to win anything.”

He also claimed that sticking to the “America First” agenda is basically saying “we want to be extinct.”

Here’s the funny thing about that…

The Republican party has actually become a much more inclusive party since the days that George W. Bush served as de facto leader.

The facts just don’t agree with President Bush’s confident – and totally wrong – assertion.

President Bush received 11% of the black vote, President Trump received 12% in 2020.

President Bush received 35% of the Hispanic vote in 2000 and 40% in 2004.

In the 2020 election, President Trump received 32% of the Hispanic vote. While a percentage decrease, the Hispanic population in America grew significantly in those 20 years. In fact, it almost doubled! The census reports 60.6 million in 2019 and only 35.3 million in 2000. Millions more Hispanic votes went to President Trump than President Bush. Without any promises of open borders or amnesty!

Candidates like Mitt Romney and John McCain received even lower numbers in both categories, which contributed to their embarrassing losses in 2008 and 2012.

To continuously suggest that the leaders of the past know anything about growing the base of the party while they deny the facts of the most recent elections is completely ridiculous.

If George Bush would like a “bigger tent” GOP, he should be joining the Trump Republicans, not trashing them to any elitist publication that will listen.

ELEMTEACHER: I can vouch for that. There are other Bushes looking at higher office. Jeb could be dreaming of a repeat. What George doesn’t understand is we are TIRED of the Bushes.

Bush also started the longest war in US history based on a lie. Thousands of our Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, and Sisters, were killed and maimed over Bushe’s desire to help his war machine make millions. Don’t forget that his VP Chaney, and his wife LIZ, make millions through his interests in Haliburton. The company that did much of the war construction and operations. All while our troops DID NOT have the proper equipment. Family members had to send safety equipment to their family and friends in the war zone. While the Generals kept asking for v bottom APCs, they were told that the US was developing one and it would be ready in a few years! France ALREADY had them and the US could have gotten them from them! So the Military Industrial Complex didn’t care about AMERICAN military lives in Iraq only the MONEY they were making! The military leaders also DOD NOT have an after action plan! This also caused thousands of American Military Lives! ONE example is there were US military forces on each side of an Iraqi Ammunition dump. The Iraqis were going in and out of the ammo storage area , taking explosives out and the American forces were not allowed to stop them! MANY more American Military men. women, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters were KILLEAD or maimed due to the Iraqis being ALLOWED to get explosives uninterrupted by the AMERICAN military. HOW stupid is that? After all these years, it seems the US DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO EFFEXTIVELY FIGHT A WAR!

I am ashamed of you BUSH! Register democrat because we do not want you in the Republican party, the party that stands for all Americans, the Democrats stand for themselves and pit everyone against each other to insure that money keeps rolling in and keeps them in power by bringing us under communism, which normal people do NOT want!

I totally agree. Bush did pretty much nothing but spend lots of money like the liberal he really was. And he should just STFU. The GOP has been slowly dying on it’s own because they never listen to the people. They are so far removed from the public we should just start our own party. All they want like the democRATS is our money to do with as they please. Everybody that still considers themself a Conservative should tell the GOP to go to Hell. I am really sick and tired of voting for the lesser of two evils which we has until 2016.
