Senator Chuck Schumer has called for censorship, and Fox News host Tucker Carlson is not having any of it!
Schumer recently exploded on the Senate floor, claiming that Tucker’s airing of video footage of wrongdoing by the federal government is a threat to democracy. Schumer accused him of manipulating his viewers and even openly called for censorship on the floor of the Senate.
It’s hard to know which Schumer respects less: the First Amendment, or the truth?
Tucker Carlson is not just standing by and taking criticism. He responded on his show last night and it was BRUTAL.
“You don’t often see the Senate majority leader openly call for censorship on the floor of the Senate as if that was totally normal and didn’t contradict the spirit and the letter of the First Amendment,” Tucker said.
And as he later points out, it’s not just Schumer who’s on the wrong side of history here. Republican Senators Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, and Mitt Romney of Utah are all siding with Schumer. How disappointing.
What’s with these elitist uniparty freaks supporting THIS lie and THIS censorship? What are they trying to protect? Carlson is getting close to the truth, and they can’t handle it.
As Tucker said on his show, “From this, we learn two things: One, you’re getting close to what they really care about. And you have to ask yourself why? Why is it so important that they would degrade themselves by telling such obvious lies and calling for censorship? Why? What are they trying to protect?”
“That might be worth exploring and we plan to.”
