Dumbledore has passed away

Legendary actor, Michael Gambon, most famous for his role as Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter franchise, died on September 27 at the age of 82. 

Gambon won several prestigious awards prior to his fame as Dumbledore including two Screen Actors Guild Awards and four British Academy of Film and Television Awards. 

J.K. Rowling expressed her admiration of Gambon and sorrow for the loss having worked with Gambon in both Harry Potter and The Casual Vacancy. 

Fans expressed their love and admiration for Gambon in tributes online primarily related to his beloved portrayal of Dumbledore. 

Gambon was a funny, and good-spirited man in all his interviews and was the subject of several beloved memes. His memory lives on not only in Dumbledore but also in the laughter he brought us. 

We will always have ‘DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE?!?!?!”

We will always have dancing Dumbledore. 

And we will always have the Dumbledore song.
