The woke mob has officially taken over the MLB.
On Friday, the organization joined radicals like AOC and Kamala Harris to condemn the election integrity law in Georgia.
They’re so outraged by it that they’ve pledged to move the annual All-Star game from Atlanta, claiming that was “the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport.”
In response, Governor Kemp absolutely thrashed the MLB.
He told reporters, “They don’t care about jobs, they don’t care about our communities and they certainly don’t care about access to the ballot box because if they did MLB would’ve announced it was moving it’s headquarters from New York,” Kemp said.
“In New York, they have 10 days of early voting. In Georgia, we have 17 … It’s easier to vote in Georgia than it is in New York.”
A fair point.
Kemp didn’t mention though that voting in Georgia is actually easier than buying a ticket to a baseball game in COVID times.
Now – for most teams – stadiums require booking seats prior to the game and to do so you must provide proof of identification and a negative COVID test.
So far, Georgia doesn’t require a COVID test to vote.
But of course, facts are irrelevant to the outrage of the left. While the MLB expressed their disgust with the law, they were unable to cite one specific part of the legislation they fundamentally disagreed with.
In fact, it’s not clear they even read it!
But they did tweet about it, which is the number one way to signal to fellow liberals that you are “woke” and therefore better than all those other dumb Americans who support election integrity.
Up until now, baseball has avoided major controversy compared to the NFL and NBA. This wokeness from the MLB marks the end of cringe-free professional sports.
