BREAKING: CDC Releases New COVID-19 Quarantine Guidelines

This week, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the recommended time for quarantine for vaccinated individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 has been shortened from 10 days to 5 days for those without symptoms.

Those who have been exposed but have not tested positive may not even need to quarantine at all, they say.

In a statement, the CDC said “given what we currently know about COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, CDC is shortening the recommended time for isolation from 10 days for people with COVID-19 to five days, if asymptomatic, followed by five days of wearing a mask when around others.”
