FACT OR FICTION? Biden’s Latest Whopper of a Story

The art of political exaggeration seems to have found a new maestro in none other than our esteemed leader, Joe Biden. In a recent display of creative storytelling, Biden took to the stage to regale the American public with a tale that could easily rival the most imaginative of fairytales.

During an event commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, President Biden shared a narrative that left many scratching their heads. He boldly asserted that, in his youth, he had managed to personally sway none other than the late Senator Strom Thurmond to cast his vote in favor of the Civil Rights Act.

With a chuckle, Biden recounted the moment as if he were spinning a yarn by the campfire. “Pause for just a moment,” he grinned mischievously, clearly amused by his own audacity. “I thought things had changed.”

“I was able to — literally, not figuratively — talk Strom Thurmond into voting for the Civil Rights Act before he died,” the president continued, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

Of course, that is quite the feat for a would’ve-been-21-year-old who hadn’t even secured his Senate seat by that time.
