President Trump’s recent executive order, formally designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist entity, is not only overdue…it’s absolutely necessary. For too long this movement’s violence and its corrosive influence have been dismissed, brushed off as fringe or symbolic. Enough. We finally have a federal action that says: these people are dangerous, and we will take them seriously.

Consider what went down in the summer of 2020. There were violent riots, looting, arson, and deaths. An estimated 25 people were killed in riots associated with BLM/Antifa events in 2020. Property damage was a massive $1 to $2 billion in insured losses in just the early unrest in Minneapolis‐St. Paul alone, and many more across the country.

And when violence follows, there must be consequences.
