BREAKING: DOJ Moves To Indict James Comey (YAY!)
James Comey may finally face the consequences so many Americans have been waiting for. Reports say the Justice Department is preparing to indict the disgraced former FBI director for lying to Congress about his role in the Trump-Russia probe.
This isn’t just a paperwork mistake. Back in May 2017, Senator Grassley asked Comey under oath if he ever authorized someone else at the FBI to leak information to the media. He flatly said “no.” That testimony fell outside the statute of limitations. But in September 2020, Comey doubled down when Senator Ted Cruz pressed him again. He said his answer was “the same today” as it was in 2017. That sworn statement is exactly what prosecutors are now looking at, and the five-year statute of limitations on that testimony runs out this month.
Why does this matter? Because it looks like Comey was funneling information through his advisor Daniel Richman, who conveniently became the source for the New York Times during the Trump-Russia hysteria. Richman was subpoenaed just two weeks ago as part of this criminal probe, which signals prosecutors are serious.
President Trump has been loudly calling for action. Just last weekend he reminded Attorney General Pam Bondi that “we can’t delay any longer.” He’s right. They impeached him twice and indicted him five times over nothing. Meanwhile, the man who tried to rig public opinion with leaks and lies skated free.
Comey and his allies tried to sabotage Trump’s first presidency. Then they tried to criminalize him once he left office. He deserves treason charges, but for now, we’ll take perjury. If this indictment lands before the clock runs out, it will be the first real taste of justice for a man who spent years undermining the will of the American people.
Justice must be served. And it looks like the walls are finally closing in on James Comey.
