Block out the haters: MELANIA is going to be a success

On January 30, the documentary Melania will release to theaters around the country. The film will follow Melania Trump in the 20 days leading up to the second inauguration of President Trump. The bitter leftists have taken to social media to pre-emptively mock the release and say no one is buying tickets to go see it. They’re screen-shotting all the available seats from deep blue areas and in at least one case, a theater that primarily shows foreign language films.

Here’s the truth: a political documentary is a tough sell and will never be a blockbuster but because of the support President Trump and Melania enjoy across the country, the film will likely do modestly well. Produced by Amazon MGM studios and directed by acclaimed Director Brett Ratner who was behind critically and financially successful films like the Rush Hour franchise, Red Dragon and X-Men: Last Stand.

Here are some random theaters from around the country as of Wednesday the 28th for the evening opening day, January 30th showing of Melania. You’ll see many tickets have been sold for a very niche film.

Jacksonville, Florida

Los Angeles, California

Grapevine, Texas

Long Island, New York

Phoenix, Arizona

Washington, DC

Butler County, Ohio

Pittsburg, Pennsylvania

Salt Lake City, Utah

Las Vegas, Nevada

Charleston, South Carolina

Indianapolis, Indiana

St. Louis Park/Minneapolis, Minnesota

Voorhees, New Jersey

So: Of course many theaters in many areas haven’t sold any tickets yet and may not in some time slots especially in deep blue cities. But many many theaters in all kinds of areas nationwide have had respectable sales already and Melania is going to do well for a film of its nature.
