White House Press Secretary Slams Pelosi for ‘Playing Politics’ on Russia Bounty Story: ‘It’s Truly Despicable’

Earlier this week, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany addressed the wide-spread reports that Russian intelligence offered Afghan militants bounties to kill U.S. soldiers.

The accusation from the left – specifically from Speaker Nancy Pelosi – is that the White House knew about it, but did nothing.

McEnany went on FNC’s “Fox & Friends” to set the record straight, calling the “off base” comments made by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “truly despicable.”

“First, Nancy Pelosi is entirely off base,” McEnany stated.

“This President has been very tough on Russia, sanctioning innumerable Russian targets, closing Russian consulates. She’s taking a report based on anonymous sourcing that was just dead wrong. The New York Times was wrong, believe it or not, and she’s politicizing it, so the only person playing politics here is the speaker of the House…”

“It’s truly despicable,” she added.

Despite the push back, the media continues to regurgitate Pelosi’s lies. McEnany did not seem too pleased with their actions, etiher.

“It is truly egregious when you have anonymous sources spewing out this information on the pages of The New York Times and wrongly giving them false information.”

The Press Secretary has continued to throw down with liberal reporters on this issue through out the week.
