BREAKING: President Obama Rages Against ‘Right-Wing Media,’ Defends Critical Race Theory In New Interview

President Obama has not been one to shy away from the spotlight, especially now that his former Vice President is in power.

This week, he appeared on CNN to stoke the flames of division in the country, while he claimed, of course, that others were actually doing that.

He got very into explaining the racial divide in America.

The former president told Anderson Cooper that “certain right-wing media venues” are encouraging “fear and resentment” among White Americans. He said that the country has not “fully reconciled with our history,” obviously referencing civil rights abuses of the past, and explained that, for white people, that is a “hard thing to hear.”

“You can be proud of this country and its traditions and its history and our forefathers … and it’s also true that this terrible stuff happened and the vestiges of that linger and continue,” Obama said. “And the truth is that when I try to tell the story, oftentimes my political opponents would deliberately not only block that story but try to exploit it for their own political gain.”

Then, he raged against conservative outlets – which he probably never watches and definitely never sits for interviews on – for “capitalizing” on the supposed fear white people have towards “changing demographics” in the United States.

He told Cooper, “I also think that there are certain right-wing media venues, for example, that monetize and capitalize on stoking the fear and resentment of a White population that is witnessing a changing America and seeing demographic changes, and do everything they can to give people a sense that their way of life is threatened and that people are trying to take advantage of them.”

“And you’re seeing it right now,” he continued.

“You would think with all the public policy debates that are taking place right now, the Republican Party would be engaged in a significant debate about how are we going to deal with the economy, what are we going to do about climate change, what are we going to do about- lo and behold, the biggest single most important issue to them apparently right now is critical race theory.”

He laughed and attempted to downplay the seriousness of the dangerous philosophy, saying “who knew that was the threat to our republic?” (The point of critical race theory is to teach all children, gov employees, etc that all of our institutions – including Democracy – are racist and need to be reformed, soooo… that probably qualifies as a threat to the republic.)

The interview was totally classic, self-righteous Obama. You can watch the full thing here:
