Trump’s ‘Terrible’ Tariffs Are Breaking BIG Records For America

Published

on

Remember when the media called tariffs “economic suicide”? When Democrats clutched their pearls and claimed Trump’s America First trade strategy would destroy the global economy and spark a recession?

Well, July’s numbers are in and it turns out they were dead wrong. Again.

U.S. tariff revenue surged to an all-time high of $29.6 billion in July, continuing a blistering upward trend:

  • $26.6 billion in June
  • $22.2 billion in May
  • Just $8.2 billion in March when the new tariffs began rolling out.

In the last three months alone, tariffs and related excise taxes have generated $78 billion in revenue. That’s more than the entire tariff haul from all of Fiscal Year 2024. At this pace, America is on track to collect $308 billion in annual tariff revenue—a $231 billion increase from 2024.

To put that in perspective:

  • Tariff revenue this year could rival corporate income tax revenue from last year ($366 billion).
  • That means tariffs are exactly the fiscal game-changer we knew they’d be.

And who do we have to thank? President Donald J. Trump.

He was mocked, ridiculed, and lied about for years over his bold trade policies. But as usual, the results speak louder than the hysterics.

This is a win for the American worker, the U.S. taxpayer, and a massive L for every economist who still thinks “free trade” means letting China walk all over us.
