BREAKING: Biden’s Border Flip Flop – Is He Finally Waking Up?

In a surprising reversal, President Joe Biden has given the green light for the construction of a new border wall in Texas, marking a significant departure from his previous stance where he labeled such walls as a “waste of money.” This decision comes in the wake of an unprecedented surge in illegal border crossings, especially during the month of August.

Approximately 20 miles of border wall are set to be erected in Starr County, Texas, as President Biden and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas respond to the alarming rise in illegal entries. Secretary Mayorkas emphasized the pressing issue of “high illegal entry” in the region.

During the 2020 presidential campaign, Biden made it clear that he considered border walls to be a misallocation of resources, stating, “It is a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security… it shall be the policy of my administration that no more American taxpayer dollars be diverted to construct a border wall.”

The Border Patrol reported an astonishing 260,000 encounters with illegal immigrants in August, marking the highest monthly total ever recorded in history. This surge has raised serious concerns about border security and immigration policies.

Notably, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez expressed her discontent with the President’s decision, urging Biden to “take responsibility for this decision and reverse course.”

Former President Donald Trump also weighed in on the matter via his Truth Social platform, stating: “Will Joe Biden apologize to me and America for taking so long to get moving, and allowing our country to be flooded with 15 million illegal immigrants, from places unknown. I will await his apology!”

It’s clear that President Biden’s hand has been forced by the escalating border crisis, which is now directly impacting communities in states far from the border, such as New York City and Chicago. In these areas, city resources are stretched to their limits, struggling to cope with the challenges posed by the ongoing illegal immigration crisis.
