Someone is definitely getting fired on Jake Tapper’s team tonight. During CNN’s big arrest coverage, Tapper confidently called Jan. 6 pipe bomb suspect Brian Cole a “white man.” The problem? He is very much… not white. If Jake was trying to mislead people, that’s unfortunate, because one glance at the photo blows up the narrative. Normally liberal anchors just avoid mentioning race when the suspect isn’t white — but someone clearly fed Jake bad info, and now he looks like a big dumb-dumb head on live TV.
