What you need to know about GETTR’s upcomming Fight Night

Growing conservative social media platform, GETTR, is sponsoring a boxing event (along with intuboxing) on Saturday which will stream live on the DAZN streaming service. Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy GETTR Fight Night:

The event features rapper and boxer KSI in two headline fights

KSI will take on fellow rapper, Swarmz before fighting pro-boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda (if he hasn’t been too injured).

Though KSI is more famously a rap artist, he began his boxing career in 2018 before famously taking on YouTube celebrity Logan Paul who he defeated in 2019.

Swarmz is a British rap artist and former semi-pro “football” player (soccer) for the National League south. Swarmz is filling in for YouTube sensation Alex Wassabi who had to pull out of the fight due to injuries.

Luis Alcaraz Pineda is a pro-boxer who debuted in 2017 and is looking for a comeback after his last match resulted in defeat.

GETTR is a primary sponsor of the event

GETTR is a social media platform designed for short-form commentary in both text and visual format and long-form live streaming content. It’s as if Twitter, TikTok and YouTube Live were combined into one app but this time freedom of speech and expression is encouraged. Popular conservative commentators like Emerald Robinson, Diamond and Silk, Tim Young and Steve Bannon all have live programming on GETTR.

GETTR is the brainchild of Jason Miller who invented the platform with a team of engineers and innovators after mainstream platforms (like those listed above) started censoring speech including banning the – at the time -sitting president of the United States, Donald Trump.

Despite liberal big tech’s best efforts, GETTR has amassed 6 million users and its brand new live streaming feature has already gotten 200 million views despite launching only 10 months ago.

Miller and members of his team will be live covering the event for GETTR branding it as GETTR Fight Night.

The event is live and nearly sold out in London at the 02 Arena but will stream worldwide

02 Arena in London is a 200,000 person stadium that hosts the biggest events from sports to music. Tickets start at 30 pounds and go as high as 1,300 pounds for VIP ring side viewing. In viewing the available tickets online – the event looks like it’s going to be very well attended.

But the event will also be streaming on DAZN PPV in US and Canadian markets as well as other countries.

The event streams at 2 pm ET on Saturday, August 27

The main card will begin at 2 pm ET but the main event featuring KSI and Swarmz will kick off around 5:15 pm ET.

The full roster for the KSI v Swarmz card includes 7 fights with the potential for 8

  • KSI vs. Swarmz
  • KSI vs. Luis Alcaraz Pineda (if healthy)
  • FaZe Temperrr vs. Slim Albaher
  • Deji vs. Fousey
  • King Kenny vs. FaZe Sensei
  • Salt Papi vs. Andy Warski
  • Deen the Great vs. Evil Hero
  • Sam Hyde vs. IAmThmpsn

If you want to watch the event you’ll need to subscribe to DAZN

DAZN is a subscription based sporting event streaming service which includes PPV options

In the U.S. DAZN monthly subscription is $19.99/month or $99.99/year. The fight will be on PPV for an additional $9.99.

GETTR is the only place to get behind the scenes exclusive content including the pre-show warm ups and practice fights

The GETTR team including Jason Miller and Kaelan Dorr are already on the ground in London covering exclusive content from workouts to weigh-ins. They will be ring side giving live event insights and providing post-fight content and entertainment.

The 2019 fight between KSI and Logan Paul was the biggest PPV fight not featuring Floyd Mayweather in history and the GETTR FIght Night is expected to reach 3 million PPV viewers.
