Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had some choice words for New York City during a recent appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight. The outspoken Congresswoman did not hold back, describing the city as “disgusting” and comparing it to “Gotham City.”
Greene’s comments came after Mayor Eric Adams described New York as his home. Carlson asked Greene about Adams’ description of the city, and Greene did not hesitate to share her opinion.
“The streets are filthy, they’re covered with people dying on drugs,” Greene said. “There’s so much crime in the city, I can’t comprehend how people live there. It was repulsive, it smells bad. I think it’s a terrible place.”
While Carlson acknowledged that there are some nice people in the city, he did not take issue with Greene’s assessment.
Greene’s trip to New York was to protest President Donald Trump’s indictment by the Manhattan District Attorney. However, she was met with throngs of protesters who drowned out her speech and prompted her to end her protest early.
It’s clear that Greene’s experience in New York left a bad taste in her mouth. But with her no-nonsense attitude and willingness to speak her mind, she’s sure to continue making waves in the conservative world.
