LOL! Why Did Fake News Just Apologize To This Trans Activist?

While reporting on the collapse of the Bud Light brand following a sponsorship campaign with trans activist Dylan Mulvaney, CNN journalist Ryan Young reportedly referred to Mulvaney using incorrect pronouns, using “he” and “him.”

Now, CNN is apologizing for the “mistake.”

To clarify, Dylan is a biological male who identifies as a woman and prefers to be referred to using she/her pronouns. However, the reaction from some liberals on Twitter was intense, and they criticized CNN for misgendering Dylan.

CNN Anchor Kate Bolduan was compelled to apologize on behalf of the network, stating: “In a segment about transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who was featured in Bud Light’s recent campaign, she was mistakenly referred to by the wrong pronoun. CNN aims to respect individuals’ self-identifications, and we apologize for the error.”

Earlier this year, Mulvaney posted a video on social media expressing the opinion that it should be “illegal” for people to use incorrect pronouns when referring to him.
