The Biden administration has made a glaring blunder by sharing an image on the official White House Instagram page, featuring Joe Biden alongside members of the Army’s Delta Force, without taking the basic precaution of blurring the faces of our brave US special ops currently deployed in Israel.
This photograph, astonishingly, remained online for a full hour, exposing the identity of one member from the Army’s elite counterterrorism unit and three additional Delta Force operatives. If that weren’t enough, distinctive tattoos on the arm of the soldier shaking hands with Biden were visible for all to see.
Keeping the identities of our special operators confidential is not just a matter of security; it’s a fundamental requirement. These operatives had been deployed to Israel to assist with an ongoing hostage crisis, cooperating closely with their Israeli counterparts.
The White House’s response to this grievous error was, frankly, inadequate. A spokesperson expressed regret, stating, “As soon as this was brought to our attention, we immediately deleted the photo.” However, the damage had already been done. By the time they took the image down, it had been seen by over 100,000 people and received more than 6,000 likes.
This incident underscores a disturbing lack of attention to detail and a concerning disregard for the safety of our servicemen and women. The Biden administration must be held accountable for this egregious lapse in judgment, especially when dealing with such sensitive matters of national security.
