Which Secret Life of Mormon Wives cast member would be Secretary of State?

The Hulu reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has taken the internet and your household by storm. They were TikTok famous before they were given the reality show (MomTok) and there have been some online revelations about the stars’ political views based on who they follow and what posts they like. 

The women are always jockeying for position within MomTok and are each leaders in their own right. So if reality watchers were the President of the United States, which wife is best suited for which cabinet position? 

Demi: Secretary of Transportation

Demi is ambitious and isn’t afraid to go for what she wants. Her willingness to call people out on their issues and to hold her ground has put her in hot water with the MomTok crew even though she’s completely right. She wants to be queen bee and the haters are afraid she can really do it.  She speaks her mind, she has a loving and protective husband, she’s over dramatic and she’s impeccably groomed. 

What does this have to do with transportation? Nothing at all but it reminds me a bit of Pete Buttigeig’s story. 

Taylor: Secretary of Defense

If Taylor can do anything, it’s play defense. And the best defense is a good offense. If anyone is a war monger in MomTok it’s Taylor. She was the catalyst behind the swingers scandal which launched them into television fame. She always expects the rest of MomTok to have her back and forgive her when she’s in the thick of it and is ready to go nuclear if they don’t show up for her or they put her in a corner. Taylor is a fighter. Perfect for our military leader. 

Whitney: Secretary of Health and Human Services

Whitney seems to be always pregnant and is definitely the mom on the show who you would most likely guess is actually a mother if you didn’t already know. The whole crew is into homemaking and baking and family care, but Whitney makes is more prominently part of her persona. She would be America’s mom, perfectly suited for advising our kitchen tables and working with our doctors and researchers. 

Mayci: Secretary of State

Mayci is MomTok first and isn’t willing to get into fights with her friends just because another friend asks her too, even when its a really really close friend doing the asking. Her level headed approach to conflict is exactly what the US would need to keep American soldiers at home and stay at of everyone’s business. Mayci would be the peace-forward, America First Secretary of State we all need.

Jessi: Secretary of Commerce

Beyond being as star on a TikTok brand and a reality show, Jessi has a very successful hair salon empire, JZ Styles and is said on the show to be a millionaire. Jessi would know how to work with the private sector and build empires across the country. But she’s also a major pot stirrer. She is always setting up situations that will cause major drama (she’s a producers dream). So she would also be perfect in tariff negotiations. 

Layla: National Intelligence Director (or CIA or FBI) 

Layla has all the secrets and knows when to share them. She is the spy that goes between the different factions of the group and she does it perfectly, showing texts and sharing the perfect snippet of gossip to get everyone on the side she needs. She would be the perfect person to start a bunch of wars, assassinate some foreign leaders and sell weapons to ourselves on a mission to stop the terror cells that we originally created. Layla would have a handle on the Deep State profile. 

Jen: Secretary of Housing and Urban Development 

Jen moves a lot. She and her husband moved to Arizona so her really crappy and mean and not fooling anyone husband could go to Medical school. Then she moved back to Utah to be closer to her creator friends and family. Then she moved again across the country to New York because her husband got into another medical school and also probably wanted her away from her friends who all hate him for very good reason. With all this experience moving in and out of houses, Jen is perfectly suited to head the housing agency. 

Mikayla: Secretary of Homeland Security

Once you cross Mikayla, you’ve crossed her. There is no question in any Mormon Wives fan’s mind that Mikayla would build a wall and deport a trespasser on sight. There’s no amount of spin that can get you past Mikayla’s radar. She knows BS when she sees it and she isn’t going to let people back in who are bad for her and her community. 

Miranda: Secretary of Education 

Miranda left MomTok and now she wants back in but the girls aren’t so sure yet. She is in MomTok limbo and kind of skirting the edges of conflict to see what might happen to her. She is perfect for an agency which may or may not exist much longer.
