ARE WE BEING INVADED? America Faces A New Rush Of Migrants At Our Southern Border

In the past ten days, over 90,000 illegal immigrants have crossed into the United States, an alarming sign of what’s to come as Title 42 expires in less than ten days.

Title 42 was a sensible policy implemented by the Trump administration that allowed Border Patrol to reject illegal immigrants trying to enter the U.S. based on public safety concerns due to the Covid pandemic.

The recent numbers released by U.S. Border Patrol are staggering – they encountered over 73,000 illegal immigrants in just ten days, and another 17,000 “gotaways” were able to avoid detainment.

Unfortunately, the individuals attempting to enter the U.S. illegally are not the cream of the crop. Over the past ten days, border agents have stopped and seized 19 sex offenders, 6 gang members, 1 convicted murderer, 676 pounds of cocaine, 1,052 pounds of meth, 54 pounds of fentanyl, and 19 pounds of heroin.

As of May 11, Title 42 will no longer be in effect, and according to Texas Governor Abbott, the federal government expects about 13,000 illegal immigrants to cross the border every day. Reflecting on his time as Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson said in 2019 that “I know that 1,000 overwhelms the system, and I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000 a day looks like, so we are truly in a crisis.”

What is President Biden’s plan to address this crisis?

Unfortunately, it appears to be lawlessness.

He plans to replace Title 42 with a policy called “expedited removal,” which on paper allows immigration officials to quickly deport illegal immigrants who arrive at a U.S. port of entry. However, in reality, it is full of loopholes that illegal immigrants know how to exploit. For example, simply declaring asylum often results in their release into the U.S.

Adding insult to injury, the Biden administration is gaslighting the American people by claiming that illegal migration has decreased by more than 90% under their watch. This is a blatant lie, as since Biden took office, 5.5 million illegal aliens have been encountered crossing our southern border. In contrast, during Trump’s full four-year term, we had roughly 2.4 million encounters.

The situation at the southern border is rapidly spiraling out of control, and the Biden administration’s response is woefully inadequate. It’s time for our leaders to put the safety and security of the American people first and address this crisis immediately.
